Prerequisites
Recommended for building operations, property management, maintenance, health and safety, and fire/life safety personnel who are responsible for portable fire extinguisher selection, inspection, maintenance, or compliance.
No formal prerequisite is required; however, basic familiarity with building operations, fire safety practices, or regulatory compliance is beneficial.
Resource Materials
Participants will receive a student handout, and practical reference guidance covering fire classes, extinguisher types, selection basics, placement and accessibility, inspection and maintenance overview, and safe-use principles including the PASS method.

Iman Yavari
Iman Yavari is a licensed Professional Engineer (in Canada and the USA) and Principal at AI Integrated, an Authorized NFPA Instructor. With over 20 years of experience in fire protection and life safety systems, he actively contributes to NFPA, UL/ULC technical committees.
A frequent speaker at national safety conferences and a member of multiple NFPA sections, Iman brings both technical expertise and practical insights to his teaching. His instruction is grounded in real-world application, making complex code requirements easy to understand and apply.
