Compensation: Starting at $70,000 annually (Customized based on qualifications, experience, and course development contribution )
Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Content and Curriculum Development Lead / Learning Experience Designer with strong adult education experience and industry knowledge. This role combines instructional design, curriculum development, and hands-on teaching delivery for learners across Canada in both online and in-person formats.
You will work closely with our technical team to develop clear, practical, and engaging training content that supports real-world application and industry compliance.
What You Will Do
This role is focused on building and maintaining high quality, standards aligned training programs that prepare learners for real world performance in the field.
- Develop and design curriculum and course materials for adult learners, including topics such as soft skills, customer service, industry best practices, and technical training content
- Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to translate complex industry concepts into clear, accessible learning materials
- Design assessments, evaluations, and learning tools aligned with adult education principles
- Deliver engaging instruction in both online and in-person learning environments
- Review and update training materials to ensure, clarity, and alignment with best practices in adult education
- Contribute to continuous improvement of program delivery and learner experiences
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Post-secondary education in adult education, instructional design, education, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or online learning environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and practical manner
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with learning management systems or online training platforms
Assets:
- Experience in the fire protection, life safety, or related technical industry
- Bilingual (English/French) is considered
