We are seeking a senior Life Safety professional who brings deep field experience, strong code knowledge, and the confidence to lead technical training at a high level. The successful candidate will deliver engaging instruction, contribute to curriculum development, and help elevate competency across the industry.
What You Will Do
Instruction and Training Delivery
- Deliver high quality online and in person instruction in fire alarm systems, inspection, testing, and verification
- Teach in alignment with CAN ULC S524, S536, S537, the National Building Code of Canada, and the National Fire Code of Canada
- Demonstrate inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and verification procedures
- Facilitate interactive learning environments that challenge and engage experienced technicians
Curriculum Development
- Develop and refine course materials, lesson plans, and technical assessments
- Ensure content reflects current codes, emerging technologies, and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to strengthen learning pathways and program growth
Student Evaluation and Industry Leadership
- Evaluate written and practical assessments
- Provide structured, professional feedback
- Maintain accurate training documentation
- Stay current with code changes and technological advancements
- Promote professionalism, compliance, and technical excellence
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are a respected Life Safety professional who is ready to transition from doing the work to developing others.
You bring:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on fire alarm experience
- Extensive field background in installation, inspection, testing, verification, or service
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian fire alarm codes and standards
- CFAA Technician designation
- Advanced understanding of electronics and life safety system integration
- Experience with multiple fire alarm manufacturers

Work Environment
- Hybrid delivery model with remote instruction and curriculum development
