Camp Molly

HSMC is a proud partner of Camp Molly

Camp Molly is a free, 4-day camp dedicated to inspiring young female and non-binary youth aged 15 to 18 by showcasing a career in fire services as a viable and rewarding choice.

Honoring Molly Williams, North America’s first known female and first known black firefighter, the program was launched in 2019 in the Halton Region with substantial support from charities and businesses. Its success has led to expansion across Canada, including Quebec, Saskatchewan, and two Indigenous camps in 2024.

The program offers comprehensive training in fire suppression, auto extrication, firefighter survival, communications, fire investigation, medical, prevention and education. With around 35 campers per session, over 400 youths will benefit each year, each concluding with a ceremonial graduation.

HSMC will continue to support this engaging and important initiative for the fire and life safety industries.
