Exemptions

Exemptions for your employees or members who qualify can be made through the CFAA for certain courses depending on their qualifications. Those who have completed a post-secondary English or Communications course (with a passing grade over 60%) are likely to be granted an exemption for Course 2. Electricians are granted exemptions from Courses 2, 3 & 4. These are both examples as all exemptions for corporate students are made at the discretion of the Canadian Fire Alarm Association and all enquiries must be directed to their offices. Contact details and additional information can be found on their website www.cfaa.ca, or by calling them directly at 1.800.529.0552 where you can get the answers to your questions that we are unable to address.

This training, when paid for directly by an employer, union or association, does not require approval under the Ontario Career Colleges Act, 2005.
